Function Switch

Used exclusively on automatic doors, a function switch is a user-accessible switch that can control the function of a door. 99% of the time each automatic door will have its own function switch. Switches can look many different ways. Some may be rocker style switches, rotary switches (with a knob), switches with an LCD panel, or keyed switches.

Switches are used to select pre-programmed settings for a door such as: hold open, entry-only, hold closed, etc.

Each manufacturer’s switch will be unique to their brand, so switches can vary in appearance. Switches pictured here are by Stanley and Record/KM.
